Keystone Educational Collaborative Locking in the Foundations of our Students Future with the Tools of Today About us:

Locking-in Our Students’ Future. old and their families.

At Keystone Educational Collaborative we provide a wide range of educational and clinical services to support children from ages 3-22 yrs. We acknowledge that each individual child may be impacted by a specific disability that limits their opportunity to be successful members of their own educational community at this time, but we welcome them with open arms to our small collaborative community. H

ere at Keystone, we first and foremost acknowledge that these young minds are children, and as such, we as educators will work diligently to support and meet each individual child’s needs regardless of being defined by the labels that they carry. Our goal at Keystone is to collaborate and help each individual child that we service have a meaningful educational experience and attain the highest possible level of personal and educational growth and achievement. With our students we will strive to support the educational and social foundations so that they will become active members of their communities based upon their own individual capacities. At Keystone we are committed to working with families and sending districts to supply the state of the art educational and clinical support that is substantiated by educational best practice and clinical research.

This September, our Key Program elementary students focused on Community Helpers, making for an exciting start to the school year. To celebrate the end of their unit, they enjoyed a memorable visit from the Leominster Fire Department. Students climbed aboard the fire truck, tried on real firefighting gear, watched the lights flash, and enjoyed asking the firefighters their many questions.

The day was a fantastic blend of discovery, laughter, and hands-on learning.

Fun Fact: Building just one fire truck can take three to four years! 🚒

Fall season is upon us and one of our Keystone classrooms took a field trip to Sholan Farms Apple Orchard, offering students rich hands-on learning opportunities that made educational concepts come alive. By picking apples, taking a hayride, and hearing stories about Johnny Appleseed and how apples grow, students actively engaged their senses—touching, seeing, and experiencing the natural world. This kind of learning helps make abstract ideas concrete, strengthens fine motor skills, encourages creativity, and promotes problem-solving. It transforms learning from passive listening into active discovery, boosting engagement and retention. 🍎🍏

Keystone is thrilled to share that we won a Toniebox through the Tonies for Learning Back to School giveaway! 📦✨

This amazing tool is now available for classrooms in the KEY Program to use, and our students are already loving it! The Toniebox offers an interactive, hands-on way for our students to engage in stories, songs, and imaginative play.

👮‍♂️ This week, our theme has been Community Helpers, and the Toniebox made a special appearance during Police Week in the pre-school! Students made a fun, relatable connection with Chase the Police Pup from Paw Patrol 🐾🚓—bringing the theme to life in a way that is both educational and enjoyable.

We love seeing how technology like this can support learning, communication, and joy for our students! 💙
