The "Friends of Sholan Farms" are made up of volunteer residents of Leominster and its neighbors (around the USA and abroad). This 501(c)3 non-profit organization was formed in 2001 to continue with the preservation and restoration of the farm. The group has organized operations and fundraising efforts associated with the "saving and growing" the farm, and restoring the farm and the orchard to its original splendor.

Sholan Farms Orchard Closed Tuesday June 2 6am - Wednesday June 3 noon.

Sholan Farms will be closed for all activities including walking, hiking, and biking etc. We are applying fungicides for scab, insecticide and nutrients. This is part of our Integrated Pest Management program. This application will protect the fruit from harmful pathogens and insect pests.

We ask that you stay out of the orchard for safety reasons.
These sprays are needed to keep the orchard in tip-top shape and to protect the fruit trees. We use best management practices and work closely with the UMASS Fruit Team. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please keep in mind this is a working orchard and we must work with Mother Nature.
