A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported our Dine to Donate event at Papa Joe’s!

Because of your support, we were able to raise over $400 for Berkshire Reign Baseball. As a volunteer-run nonprofit program, every single dollar goes right back into helping keep costs down for our families and providing more opportunities for our players.

We are incredibly grateful for our Berkshire Reign family and the community that continues to support what we do. Every penny truly counts, and your support means more than you know.

Thank you again for helping us continue to make a difference for youth athletes across Berkshire County.

Berkshire Reign 14U opened the season with a doubleheader sweep over a Powerhouse Bulldogs team, winning 14-0 and 7-6.

Game 1 Reign as if last season never stopped. Berkshire pounded out 10 hits, played exceptional defense and had dominate pitching from Sawyer Layne and Michael Ressler.

Layne was dominant on the mound, throwing 5.2 innings of one-hit baseball with six strikeouts. Ressler closed it out with 1.1 scoreless innings and two strikeouts.

At the plate, Danny Hoffmann led the way going 2-for-3 with 4 RBIs. Spencer Kotski went 1-for-3 with 4 RBIs, while Layne finished 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored. Camden Sievers scored three runs and reached base twice, while Weston Wigglesworth added a hit, two runs scored, and two walks. John Naventi had a hit, two runs scored, and a stolen base. Gavin Fol added a hit and run scored, and Avery Powell chipped in a hit.

Game 2 was much of the same for 5 innings, but Powerhouse battled back. However, Reign once again found a way to get the job done in a 7-6 victory.

Weston Wigglesworth was electric on the mound, throwing five shutout innings while allowing just two hits and striking out 10 and zero runs.

Offensively, Sawyer Layne stayed hot, going 2-for-3 with a triple, 2 RBIs, and 2 runs scored. Spencer Kotski delivered a clutch two-run double, while John Naventi added a hit and RBI. Kody Lesser collected a hit and scored a run, Seth Laprade added a hit and run scored, and Danny Hoffmann also chipped in a hit.

Pitching. Defense. Baserunning. Small ball. Power hitting.

An outstanding way to open the season. TOGETHER WE Reign!
