Members of the Lenox Fire Department joined the Adel Fire Department for a joint training night. Members from both departments shared different perspectives, techniques, and experiences while working together to strengthen their skills. Most importantly, firefighters put those skills into action by practicing forcible entry techniques on both doors and walls. Training together helps build teamwork, improves communication, and better prepares our departments to work side by side when it matters most.

Burn Ban Still in Effect. We are very thankful for the rain, but conditions still remain critically dry. Our area is still in a D4 Exceptional Drought—please do not burn.

Our department alongside many others across the state are continuing to assist with trying to get control over the rapidly spreading wildfires. Please continue to keep all the responders in your prayers, and please comply with the burn bans that are in place. It only takes a small fire to cause a serious impact. If you see someone burning please contact 911 so the local responders can mitigate the issue before it turns bad.

Starting today, much of South and Central Georgia are under a burn ban as we continue to respond to wildfires and deal with ongoing drought conditions.

We're asking all Georgians to do your part in preventing the spread of wildfires as response teams work around the clock to contain those currently blazing.
