A Heartfelt Thank You to Corinth Baptist Church

It is always such a blessing for the men of Bethel Colony of Mercy to visit Corinth Baptist Church in Casar, North Carolina! Their congregation welcomes us with so much love each year, and this visit was no exception.

We had a wonderful time of fellowship, worship, and testimonies as we shared what Jesus is doing through Bethel Colony of Mercy. There is nothing more powerful than hearing how God is breaking the chains of addiction, restoring lives, mending families, and transforming hearts through His saving grace!

Although the ladies from our Women’s Campus were unable to join us because flooding at a bridge prevented them from getting out, we were blessed to have two of our Women’s Campus graduates attend and share their testimonies. What a beautiful reminder that God’s transforming power continues to work long after graduation!

And then there was the meal! The Corinth Baptist Church congregation poured so much love and heart into preparing an incredible spread of food. There was more than enough to fill our bellies and even send food back to the campus! They also blessed us with donations of paper products to help meet our everyday needs here at Bethel.

To the entire Corinth Baptist Church family, thank you for opening your hearts and doors to us year after year. Your generosity, encouragement, prayers, and continued support mean more than words can express. We are truly grateful for a church family that not only welcomes us but reminds us of the love of Christ through the way you serve.

May God richly bless each of you for the love you continue to pour into the lives of those at Bethel Colony of Mercy!

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

What a blessing it has been to spend this week growing together in God’s Word at Bethel Colony of Mercy!

Throughout our Bible Conference, with services twice a day, our students and staff have been challenged, encouraged, and strengthened in their walk with the Lord. In this reel, a handful of our students and staff share some of the things they have learned and how God’s Word has been speaking to their hearts.

At Bethel, our desire is not just to see lives freed from addiction, but to see lives transformed through Jesus Christ. As our students grow in understanding God’s Word, they are learning to recognize their shortcomings, overcome old ways of thinking and living, and allow the Lord to shape their hearts, their attitudes, and their daily choices.

As we prepare for our final service tonight, we are thankful for what God has been doing in the hearts and lives of our students and staff throughout this week. A successful Bible Conference is about more than the services we attend. It’s about the truth we receive, the lessons we carry with us, and the changes God continues to make in our lives.

31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
KJV

To God be all the glory for His faithfulness and the transforming power of His Word!

There is something powerful about seeing men and women come together, spread out across the Hill, and lift up the needs of others in prayer. This week, our women’s campus joined us for Bible Conference, and they also took part in Prayer Day with their own groups across the Hill.

We prayed for our communities, our nation, our military, our finances, those on the waiting list, our graduates, current students and their families, our supporters, and the many needs that surround us every day. Most importantly, we were reminded that prayer matters and that there is power when God’s people come together in unity and seek Him.

For our students, these times of prayer are about more than simply learning how to pray. They are learning to make prayer a part of their new life in Christ, to bring their burdens and the needs of others before the Lord, and to trust Him with the answers.

We are grateful for the opportunity to pray together, to grow together, and to witness what God can do when His people humble themselves and seek Him.

“The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” James 5:16 NKJV
