Yokefellow of Caldwell County Food Pantry served 218 households today in our drive thru food distribution. 707 individuals fed. Right at, or a little more than 50 pounds of food was carefully placed in vehicles by staff and volunteers. The patiently waiting line was wrapped around the entire parking lot from McDonalds to our distribution tables the entire 3 hours.
It was a beautiful day and every vehicle passing through was so thankful and gracious.
Yokefellow serves a wonderful community!

Yokefellow of Caldwell County Food Pantry served 218 households today in our drive thru food distribution. 707 individuals fed. Right at, or a little more was carefully placed in vehicles by staff and volunteers. The patientlu waiting line was wrapped around the entire parking lot from McDonalds to our distribution tables the entire 3 hours. Of course we were too busy packing food and putting in cars to take any pictures!
It was a beautiful day and every vehicle passing through was so thankful and gracious.

Yokefellow is preparing to serve our neighbors who still have no power, and those who are recovering but fridges are empty. Our two lists of food needs follow:

We are grateful that you are reaching out about our food pantry needs during this community crisis! Two ways to support food needs:

1. The Food Pantry is packing bags for those who still have no power:
Peanut Butter Jelly
Bread
Saltine Crackers
Canned Pasta (Spaghettios, etc.)
Canned Tuna
Canned Chicken
Vienna Sausages

2. The Food Pantry’s Sept/Oct/November menu will be in greater demand with those who have lost all there food due to power outages. Any and all of those items will be needed in large quantities.
September, October, November
Main Meal Selection
1. Roast w/ Potatoes & Corn on the cob (1 Roast, Fresh Potatoes, 4 ears of fresh Corn)
2. Chicken Pot Pie (1 Can Chicken, 1 Can Mix Veggie, 1 Can Cream of Chicken Soup, 1 box of biscuit mix)
3. Pasta & Pasta Sauce (1 box of dry pasta, 1 can of pasta sauce)
4. Soup & Saltine Crackers (2 Cans of Soup and 2 Sleeves of Saltines)
5. Corn Bread & Pintos w/ Onions (1 Box of Corn Bread Mix. 1 1lb bag of Pinto Beans, Fresh onions)

As far as clothing items:
Yokefellow is waiting to hear how to best allocate these items to Collettsville and other hard hits areas in Caldwell Co. As soon as there is a distribution plan then we will start collecting the clothing and immediately get it out to these families.
