Relay For Life of Loudon County TN American Cancer Society - Loudon County TN Relay for Life TBD

04/04/2017

In case you haven't already received a letter from the American Cancer Society, you are being informed that the Loudon County Relay for Life has been retired for good. Please know it has happened because of mismanagement, disregard of community feedback, and poor leadership by the loca office. This is something that has been feared for the last couple of years. Please know that many people have tried very hard to fix the issues that were going on. If you have any questions, concerns, or complaints please contact the Knoxville office at (865) 584-1668. Thank you to those who have helped along the way and please continue to pray for those who have beat cancer, currently have it, have lost their life to it, and to those who are or have been caregivers!

Hello all! Hope everyone is having a great summer. We will be having our 2015 Relay for LIfe Wrap Up Meeting on August 6, 2015 at 6pm at the Holiday Inn in Lenoir City on Highway 321 next to the Interstate. Just in case you didn't know, our staff partner Julie is no longer working at the Knoxville ACS Office. We wish her the best of luck in her new endeavors. Kayla Shelby, the Knoxville ACS Office Manager, will be coming in her place until we are assigned a new staff partner. She has requested that we get as many people at the meeting as possible so that we may discuss any issues such as what we need to continue at our event, what may need to be added, what's working and not working, and everything in between good or bad so that we may improve our event and get more community involvement. So please pass this information on to as many people as you can and let's pack out the room. Hope you have a great week and hope to see you there!

The first annual Relay for Life Dodgeball tournament has been canceled. Thanks to all of you who were really interested and ready to sign up. We had a lot of maybes and people who thought it was a great idea, but not enough people were ready to commit. Maybe later this year when vacations are over and things settle down. There will be a dodgeball tournament in July put on by the Loudon County Sheriffs office to benefit a well deserving family in Loudon County. THANKS AGAIN !!!
