Daxton Hartman of Natural Baseball delivered a Stars & Strikes moment worthy of Independence Day itself. In the championship game at PGKC’s Perfect Game Stars & Strikes, Daxton launched his 1st career home run — a 3‑run rocket to left‑center on Field 4 at 3&2 that tied the game early and lit the dugout on fire. Even in a tough championship loss, the bats were loud for the Hitmen. Carson Crooks launched two over the fence — both to left field — with the first one clearing the trees and landing out in the nearby hay field. Corbin Clearwater added another, a shot to left‑center, and his ball also ended up out in the hay. A valiant effort from these boys — they showed heart, power, and fight all the way through the final inning at Stars & Strikes.

Fields were still drying from the overnight rains and the humidity was thick, but nothing was stopping Mason Lammers on this at bat and the Silverbacks on Sunday at Stars & Strikes. On Field 14, with 2 outs and 2 strikes, Mason turned on a pitch and sent it towering into right field, curling and curling... with just enough body English by the fans and 1B coach to keep it fair, sailing just left of the foul pole for his first career home run. 3&2 would like to congratulate Jaret Lewis, who came up in the biggest moment of the game this weekend — and delivered even bigger. In extra innings, with the pressure maxed out, he didn’t just hit his first ever home run…He launched a GRAND SLAM that won the game for the Express and blew the roof off Stars & Strikes. Chipper Swift (Stangs 8U) delivered a big moment in the semifinal on Field 11. Chipper led off the top of the 4th with a high fly ball down the left field line that stayed fair and carried about 140 feet for a solo home run! Good work, Chipper!
