“Still Honeyman,” the documentary about one man’s experience with essential tremor (ET), is a finalist in the 6th Annual Anthem Awards. Anthem awards honor social impact work by brands, nonprofits and individuals around the world. We need your vote to help us win the Community Voice Award!

Still Honeyman, developed by filmmakers J.R. Heffelfinger of Runaway Horses LLC and Alex Walters of Patina Ventures LLC, in partnership with the International Essential Tremor Foundation, is in contention for a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Anthem Award in the Documentary in Health, Content & Media category, which will be selected by the judges. It’s also eligible for the Anthem Community Voice Award, decided by public support.

You can play a role in helping the film achieve the Community Voice Award by voting! To vote, find STILL HONEYMAN and select “Celebrate Us.” Anthem requires you to register or sign in, and new voters must click the verification link sent to their email for their votes to count. We know that’s an extra step, and we appreciate you taking it. Voting takes place through October 29.

This year’s finalists were selected from more than 2,500 entries across more than 40 countries. Winners will be announced November 5.

Without research, discovering better treatments and cures for neurological conditions like essential tremor is not possible. Making a plan now to donate your brain for research may lead to that breakthrough needed to help millions around the world.

In 2015, Tish Hevel's family set out to honor her father Gene's wish to donate his brain to science after he died of Lewy body dementia. The process turned out to be more complicated than it needed to be.

That experience led to the creation of the Brain Donor Project. This month also marks 10 years of working directly with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) NeuroBioBank, so families who want to donate have one place to go for guidance.

🧠 Today, nearly 32,000 people have either become brain donors or have started the process to do so when the time comes through the BDP. Each of them made the same choice Gene did, and thanks to our collaboration with the NIH, their families won't have to figure it out alone.
