A two-year study evaluating new materials for treating roadways during winter weather that could reduce or replace traditional salt-based treatments. Yes!

Deicing salts are detrimental in our water supply and caustic to our roads, highways, bridges & more. A salt alternative is needed. Kudos to Missouri S&T Civil, Architectural & Environmental Engineering (CArE) for securing this grant. We look forward to your findings!

A research team from Missouri University of Science and Technology (S&T) received a grant to test new materials on winter roads.
