We continue to stay consistently busy each week even as the season cools down. Economically, things are not getting better for folks. The pantry currently must *purchase* roughly 22 percent of the food we offer to support our clients.

Please consider signing up for FUUD365, our monthly $ donor program. Even $20 a month can really help us better serve our clients and prepare for the winter months! Thank you.

While you are at the store this week, could you please pick up some of these? We have some bare spots on the shelves. Boxes of pasta are between $1.09 and $2.15 at Aldi! Diced tomatoes = $1.09, and muffin mix = $.75!

Our pantry shelves could use some stocking! Please donate generously in this cold weather:

• Canned stew and chili
• Cereal
• Muffin Mixes
• Corn Meal
You can drop off Tuesdays from 2-6 p.m. and Sundays, 10-1 p.m. or use our contact form to arrange a pick up in JoCo.

We are asking for BOOK DONATIONS. Specifically, children's books. However, we can take gently used books of all kinds. (Our volunteer can magically turn adult books into children's books!)

If you don't have any to donate, would you consider starting a book drive from your book club or neighborhood? Thanks!

While the City of Lenexa, Kansas Government disappointed our community by refusing to open a much-needed permanent shelter, Barb and her mighty team of volunteers continue to demonstrate what "do unto others" really means.

As it turns 10 this year, the only homeless shelter in Johnson County continues to fulfill its mission, even in near-record-setting snow and frigid weather.
