💛💙 Please join us Monday at 12p via Zoom to hear from Shelley Ramos of the Shawnee County Health Department - SCHD. Shelley Ramos is Health Promotion Coordinator/Community Health Outreach and Planning at the Shawnee County Health Department. She brings a diverse professional background spanning more than 15 years in the financial industry as a senior branch manager/small business development and relationship manager, followed by leadership roles in the nonprofit sector including Topeka Civic Theatre and Academy and CASA of Shawnee County. Shelley’s transition into public health reflects her commitment to working directly with communities to improve health outcomes and advance equitable access to resources. In addition to her professional work, she is actively engaged in the community as a Big with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Kansas, and serves as Board Member, Secretary, and Box Office Manager for Shades of Theatre Company, Inc. She has been married for 26 years and is the proud mother of two adult daughters.

Their presentation will cover the dynamics of juvenile s*x trafficking, the signs and how to respond to these potential high-risk/trafficking situations. There will also be a good quick overview of Project Harmony and how beneficiary CAC services are for high-risk youth.
