We visited Mantega primary school in Dedza this week. Our Director Ms Gertrude Nyirongo presented the school with 8 laptops. We also awarded one of their teachers Mr Eliya Kaunda with The Ivy Mae Teacher Of The Year Award. He received a Personal Dell Latitude Laptop and MK200,000.

We had a very epic day at Bemvu FP Primary School in Bemvu Ntcheu. We dropped off 8 laptops (apparently 2 out of every 10 laptops broke during this trip), 2 tablets and 1 soccer ball for the girls team. We will return soon.

The most improved student award. This award is given to 2 students who have made the most progress in academics and behavior towards fellow students and other teachers. We give this award to recognize effort.

Today we visited Yolodan FP Primary School in Chilomoni. It is by far the most underfunded primary school in Blantyre. They received 10 laptops and 2 footballs for the girls football team. We also awarded the 2 most outstanding students with an Android Tablet each. This visit was petitioned by our good friend Milatino Elliot. We were accompanied by Tif Ngwira II , a reporter at Capital FM Malawi.

Today I visited Pashello Charitable Trust for the second time this year. I delivered 8 laptops (2 broke in transit) to show our appreciation for schools / institutions that keep our equipment for its intended purpose. Lloyd Malola told me that these PC's have had a great impact on their children. I first hand witnessed 1st graders using simple keyboard shortcuts suck as ESC and START. Lloyd and Johnson Kadambeh have done a fantastic job with their program. If you can, please consider helping them.

We are happy to announce the 2024 Ivy Mae Foundation Scholarship Awards. It was very difficult to narrow down to these 8 students, it was heartbreaking to now that we are not able to help everyone. If you were not selected, just remember that you've come this far and that there is an infinite amount of opportunities for you in this lifetime. Finally out of the 71 applications we received, only 5 were girls. We hope to reach out to more girls next year and close this gap.

Dear Students, Congratulations on Passing your MSCE Exams. I am Happy to announce the opening of the 2024 Ivy Mae Foundation Scholarships Application Period. The Ivy Mae Foundation grants Scholarships to a number of students who have been accepted to attend any post secondary school education but face financial difficulties to do so.

Scholarships are awarded under 2 special Scholarship programs. The Felia Malola Scholarship is awarded to any albino student seeking to pursue any post secondary school education or career training. We will award 3 scholarships under this category. The Ivy Chiwaka Scholarship is awarded to any orphaned student seeking to pursue any post secondary school education or career training. We will award 5 scholarships under this category. Students must already be accepted into the programs they seek to pursue and show proof that they did not qualify for any Government Assistance.

The application window will close on Friday September the 27th 2024 and awards will be announced on Tuesday October 2nd 2024.

These scholarships offer full tuition payment, monthly food allowance and a ChromeBook Laptop Computer.
