Nearly 4 in 10 Pennsylvania households are unable to afford the basic cost of living, even though many are working. According to the latest ALICE® data, 39% of households live below the ALICE Threshold, facing difficult choices between housing, childcare, food, transportation, health care, and other essentials.

ALICE is more than a statistic. ALICE is our neighbors, coworkers, caregivers, and service workers who help keep our communities running every day.

UWP had the opportunity to attend United Way Bradford County’s Campaign Kickoff Luncheon and engage in meaningful discussions about the impact of ALICE in the community.
