Come see Woof Animal Rescue at the 74th Annual Lemont Keepataw Day Parade! 🐾🎉

We’re excited to be joining the parade this Sunday, September 6! The parade steps off at 1 PM, so find a spot along the route and be sure to wave when you see the Woof crew! ❤️🐶 🐾

Stay afterward for the Fun Fest in Downtown Lemont from 2–11 PM, featuring live music, food vendors, a beer tent, games, an artisan market, a kids’ corner and more!

We can’t wait to see everyone there!

🐾 Thankful Thursday Birthday Edition! 🎉🎂

Today, we are extra thankful as we celebrate Jane’s birthday!

Jane Trusty Holt is one of our rockstar volunteers who helps keep our events running smoothly. She assists with managing events, helps with transports, and is always willing to jump in wherever she’s needed.

We are so thankful to have Jane as part of our Woof events team. We truly couldn’t do it without her!

Please help us wish Jane a very Happy Birthday! 🥳❤️🐾

🐾 WOOF WEDNESDAY! 🐾

These six adorable 8-week-old puppies will be joining the Woof family this weekend—and we can’t wait to shower them with love! ❤️

With six new little ones arriving, we could use puppy supplies to help them settle comfortably into their foster homes. Donations of puppy food, treats, toys, puppy pads and other essentials would be greatly appreciated!

These sweet babies will be available for adoption soon, so be sure to follow along for updates!

Urgent foster needed! 🐾

Meet Luna!
This sweet and absolutely adorable 2-year-old Lab/Pit mix is only 43 pounds and is currently waiting in a local shelter. She desperately needs the comfort and security of a foster home where she can begin to relax and learn what it feels like to be safe.

Sadly, she was not treated well in her past life, she had initially showed nervousness and was uncomfortable with human touch. She is not aggressive at all—she simply needs patience, kindness and time to build trust.

When she was introduced to another dog, everything changed! She immediately began coming out of her shell, seeking attention from people and even showing interest in strangers walking by. A friendly, confident resident dog could be exactly what she needs to continue blossoming.

She is healthy, vaccinated and would do so much better in a home than in the shelter environment.

Woof provides the supplies, veterinary care and support—you provide the safe place and love she deserves. ❤️

🌟🐾 SPOTLIGHT DOG OF THE WEEK: ROSSIE!🐾🌟

Hi friends! It’s me, Rossie! I’m a 1-year-old Whippet mix, and I’m a pretty small guy with some pretty BIG ears!!! They just make me extra sweet and uniquely adorable!

I LOVE running, fetch, tug-of-war, zoomies, and playing with my dog friends. I’m also a total people dog and love following my humans everywhere. ❤️

I’m great with other dogs, have done well with cats, love meeting new people, and I’m working hard on my manners, house training, and crate training. Once I get my zoomies out, I’m happy to curl up for a good nap with my favorite people!

Now I just need one thing… a family of my own! 🥺

I’m looking for either a foster or an adopter who will give me exercise, playtime, patience, training, and LOTS of love. A fenced yard and playful pup would be a bonus, but most importantly, I want someone who will include me in their life.

This sweet boy is a parvo survivor who was blessed with an amazing foster family that said “yes” when he needed them most. And one special little girl simply couldn’t let him go—so her family made it official! ❤️
