After a great performance in prelims at the Illinois State Marching Band Championships, the LHS Marching Band placed 3rd in class 3A and qualified for finals competition tonight! The band will perform “Still I Climb” one final time tonight at 7:14 pm. You can catch the performance via the live stream linked below. Congratulations to the band on this achievement!

Congratulations once again to the LHS Marching Band for finishing in 1st Place in Class 2A at the Plainfield South Marching Band Invitational this past Saturday. The band is 2 for 2 in class championships so far this season and they finished in 2nd place overall out of 8 bands.

Catch the next performance of the band during pregame and halftime of our homecoming football game this Friday, September 26th. The Marching Band will be joined by the 8th grade band students from Old Quarry Middle School and their director Mr. Frank Alongi for pregame!

The Lemont Marching Band performed at the Victor J. Andrew High School Marching Band Invitational today and finished in 1st Place in Class 1A! The band also won the captions for Best Music, Visual, General Effect, and Percussion in Class 1A. Congratulations to all of the students on their outstanding performance this afternoon!

The band continues their competitive season next Saturday at the Plainfield South Marching Band Invitational, performing at 6:30 pm!

Today is the day! The Symphonic Band will be traveling to the University of Illinois to perform at the 51st annual Illinois SuperState Concert Band Festival. Join us in the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts or via the live stream at 3:30 today!

This past weekend, our Lemont High School Jazz Band competed in their first competition in many years at the Illinois State University Jazz Festival. The band competed in Class 2A (of 4 high school level classes) and placed 1st in Class 2A with a score of 90 (6 points above 2nd place)! The band also finished in 3rd overall for the two-day festival. Congratulations to all Jazz Band students, you have made our school and band program very proud!

Congratulations are also in order for Mr. Alongi and the students in both the Old Quarry Jazz Band 1 & Jazz Band 2 for also winning their junior high classes at the same festival. Way to go, OQMS!

We are excited to share the news that our Symphonic Band has been invited to perform at the 2025 Illinois SuperState Concert Band Festival!

It is an incredible honor to be invited to perform at this festival that features the best bands from around the state of Illinois. We are looking forward to sharing our hard work and musicianship with you at the University of Illinois on May 10th!

This past weekend our Lemont High School Winter Guard gave two excellent performances of their show entitled “Grow” at the Midwest Color Guard Circuit Championships. This was their final competition of the season and the conclusion of months of hard work by these students and staff members. You have made our school and band program very proud, congratulations on a great season!
