PA CareerLink®’s CareerLink Awareness Day will take place on September 16, 2026, from 2–5 p.m. at 112 Commonwealth Drive, Lemont Furnace, PA 15456.

The event will highlight the careers and industries that have shaped Fayette County while providing an opportunity to connect with employers, community resources, and career opportunities.

We are pleased to welcome FitWorx Mt. View , formerly CrossFit U-town, to its new home at Fayette Business Park.

Fay-Penn is proud to have assisted FitWorx in securing a space that will support the company’s continued growth and vision for the future. We recently met with FitWorx owners Jason and Alicia Tungate to celebrate this next chapter and discuss their vision for the business.

While CrossFit has been an important foundation for the business, FitWorx’s mission has grown beyond one style of fitness. Its new name reflects a broader focus on health and wellness, with an emphasis on fitness, nutrition, accountability, and community for people of all ages and abilities.

We’re excited to see FitWorx bring this expanded vision to Fayette Business Park and contribute to a growing community of businesses focused on serving and strengthening Fayette County.

This past Friday, August 21, Fay-Penn had the opportunity to attend and sponsor the Small Business Summit at The Summit, hosted by our local Chambers of Commerce!

It was a great day filled with learning, networking, and connecting with fellow business leaders and community partners. We enjoyed being part of the Business Resource Marketplace and hearing from so many incredible speakers. Our Executive Director, Jerrod Murtha, also joined the Business Resource Panel alongside other local leaders.

Today, our Staff Spotlight looks a little different! We’re highlighting two ladies who have retired from Fay-Penn within the past year: Kimberly Wyda, who served 14 years with Fay-Penn, and Tina Wargo, who dedicated an incredible 30+ years to the organization.

We’re happy to recognize Kimberly and Tina for their long-term service and dedication to the Fay-Penn organization. We truly appreciate the years they spent contributing to our team and community.

Members of the Fay-Penn team were pleased to attend the Greater Connellsville Chamber of Commerce Island Nights event last evening. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow community members while enjoying the Hawaiian-themed evening, great food, and welcoming atmosphere.

Fay-Penn is proud to have recently partnered with the Connellsville Chamber to provide financing for their new location through our Loan Programs. We value the opportunity to support local organizations and their continued growth and look forward to continuing our partnership with the Chamber in the future.

Putting GIS to Work for Fayette County

Fay-Penn Economic Development Council recently met with Fayette County Community Action Agency, Inc. to share a newly completed Fayette County Food Pantry Map, developed by Fay-Penn’s GIS team.

The map provides a clear, accessible look at food pantry locations and service areas throughout the county, demonstrating how GIS can turn local information into useful tools for organizations and the communities they serve.

During the visit, Fay-Penn also introduced Fayette Atlas, our growing GIS initiative designed to bring community, economic development, infrastructure, and other important local data together in an interactive mapping platform.

Community Action provided valuable feedback on the pantry mapping project and discussed additional ways GIS and Fayette Atlas could support their work in the future.

This project is another step toward using local data, technology, and partnerships to better understand Fayette County, connect resources, and support informed decision-making.
