MISSION VISION, STATEMENT AND PRINCIPLES
Since our founding, Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity has completed over 50 homes, with houses currently under construction in the neighborhoods of Brunswick County. Our partner families include young families with small children, single parents and the disabled. Our homes are built with volunteer labor and tax deductible donations, and are sold to ou
r partner families with a no-interest loan. Homeowners invest a substantial amount of time and work – sweat equity - into building their own homes and the homes of others prior to taking over home ownership. The money collected from the mortgage repayment is then used to help finance the construction of future Habitat home. The need for simple, decent, and affordable housing is tremendous. Unfortunately, Brunswick County Habitat for Humanity (BCHFH) is not able to serve everyone who would like to become a homeowner. We use the following FOUR criteria in selecting families to partner with us in the homeownership program:
WHAT IS HABITAT FOR HUMANITY? Many individuals, groups, churches, companies and local organizations support and participate in Habitat for Humanity. In our community, we believe decent shelter is a matter of conscience and action and invite people from all walks of life to work together to help build houses with families in need. Habitat has built more than 600,000 houses around the world, providing over 2,500,000 people with safe, decent, affordable homes. Volunteer Form
