Last Monday we had the honor of celebrating the life of Melissa West. We have been talking about her a great deal in the past month as she truly was the driving force of 5Loaves2Fish. It was a wonderful evening of tears, stories and laughter.

We hear you singing in the heavens sweet friend and we miss you very much ❤️

It’s not only Memorial Day to celebrate and honor those who have served in the military, but today at Veteran’s Park from 5-6 pm we will also celebrate the life of Melissa West. She is the reason 5Loaves2Fish is what it is today. Her determination to help others has become her legacy and we honor her and all those who have served our country.

We miss you Melissa! We know you will be with us ❤️

That is how we feel here at 5Loaves2Fish, we are incrediably grateful for the food we receive from Food Rescue of Goodwill Northern Michigan, for donors, partner churches and for the many volunteers that come with so much dedication to prepare homemade meals with love and for the compassionate care that is given while serving our guests. Thank you to all!

Thank you Kensington Church for your weekly dedication of brining PBJ’s, smiles and care for others!

This coming Monday, May 25 at Veterans Park from 5-6 we will be dedicating dinner in honor of Melissa West. She was the true spark in the creation of 5Loaves2Fish. We miss her dearly and know she will be there with us…. Singing! ❤️
