ATTENTION SENIORS WITH $$$$ LEFT TO SPEND ON FARMER'S MARKET VOUCHERS! This is the last chance to spend down $ locally! There will be produce to purchase!!!!

Farmers' Market of Grayson County will be set up at the Extension Office one last time this coming Saturday, October 17th, from 8am to noon for one last chance to spend senior and WIC vouchers! Market manager Amy Lindsey will be set up selling produce grown by the lovely folks at The Farm at Rough River. If you or someone you know still needs to spend senior/ WIC vouchers, make sure you can make it out to the farmer's market from 8-12!

Due to the impending rain, tomorrow’s Treats on the Trail at Clarkson City Park has been cancelled. Unfortunately it will not be able to be rescheduled for this year. With scheduling conflicts at the Park, and coordinating the schedules of all of the volunteers as well as nearly thirty vendors, the logistics of trying to reschedule at this time are just not possible. Thank you for your understanding.

Join us on October 17th from 9am - 2pm at the Grayson County Extension Office for a program helping volunteers from all walks of life develop their own leadership styles. Together, we’ll learn: effective meeting management, parliamentary procedure, public relations, media communication, and generational perspectives in leadership.

Through practical learning experiences led by Grayson Co. Extension Agents and special guest Jennifer Bridge, participants will gain tools and strategies to strengthen organizational effectiveness, improve communication, and enhance their ability to serve their communities. Note: This program must have at least 15 registrants to proceed. Less than 15 will result in program cancellation. There is no maximum limit.

Effective today (October 1), new income guidelines as part of the annual cost-of-living adjustment were put in place for SNAP recipients. If you have any questions, contact [email protected] or contact your local Kentucky Department for Community Based Services office.

Note: The dollar amount is not how much one receives per month, but is the new gross income levels based on 200% of the federal poverty level.
