The Grayson County 4H Dog club will kick off our 2025 year on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 5:00 pm. If you’re interested in joining our club please contact the 4H office or feel free to stop by our club meeting at the Extension office that day. You do not have to own a dog to participate. If you plan to attend please check in below so that we can have an exciting agenda in place for our club meeting.

If you are looking for discounted spay/neuter, here is your opportunity to apply. You do not have to reside in Warren County but services are provided there.

Also note that your dog does not have to be spayed or neutered to participate in 4H but there are many benefits to spaying or neutering your dog. Female dogs cannot be shown in 4H while in heat. Further, spaying your dog can avoid uterine infections, breast cancer and testicular cancer. It isn’t just to avoid pet overpopulation and unwanted litters.

Our next Dog Club meeting will be Monday, October 21, 2024 at 6pm at the extension office. Due to low attendance, we are also taking suggestions on other days of the week that might work better for club meetings. Feel free to comment below if you are unable to make Monday meetings but would like to join the club otherwise. Also please indicate which day of the week would work best for you.

Showing isn’t required to participate in our club, but it presents an opportunity to showcase your care, trianing and what you have learned about your dog while in 4H.

If you’re interested in joining our club, please reach out to the Grayson County UK Extension Office to enroll. Our monthly meetings resume in September.

The meeting scheduled for Monday, 6/17th is cancelled. We will not be meeting during summer break but our regular meetings will resume in September.

If you have not signed up to show this year, we do still hope that you come to observe the state show so that you get a good idea on whether you might like to show next year.

Update: The Extension Office is paving the parking lot on Monday. We are cancelling the meeting for Monday. We will resume our regular club meetings in September after school is back in session. Enjoy your summer break!
