If you have had success in your hunting or fishing this past season this Pot Luck is a chance to share your harvest and your recipes with other wild game enthusiasts. I am sure there will be deer, elk, bear and moose to try; hopefully some fish as well.
Cooperative Extension will provide the plates, utensils, cups and sweet tea.

During the fall of 1961, Regional Forester J.K. Vessey unveiled the sign commemorating one of the first National Forest tracts purchased as part of the 50th anniversary of the Weeks Act. The 1911 act provided the authority required to create national forests in the eastern half of the country. This tract was part of what became the Pisgah National Forest a few years later in 1916.
