(Nazareth) is a therapeutic group home and residential and day special education facility located in central Massachusetts. Our programs provide therapeutic, clinical, educational, and milieu services to youth with complex needs. Nazareth’s team works in tandem with our youth and their families to achieve our mutual goals of stabilizing their behavior and preparing them for a less restrictive envi
ronment relative to their individual treatment plan. We support those in our care with a full range of services individually tailored to give our youth what they need to become productive people. Services include small group living, special education, individual, group, and family therapy, sensory integration supports, social services to family, outpatient medical services, outpatient dental services, speech therapy, occupational therapy, and development of pre-vocational skills and recreational activities on grounds and in the community. Our goal for all youth is to help them develop into the best version of themselves. Through the support of a positive trauma-informed strength-based approach, we create and facilitate an environment where youth can learn to trust again and find hope for their future. Whatever the next step on their journey is, be it progress to a less restrictive educational setting, reunification with their own families, or to begin living with adoptive families, Nazareth strives to help our youth successfully transition to the next chapter in their success story. Nazareth’s mission is to provide high-quality education and specialized services to youth and their families without discrimination within a community-oriented environment in the tradition of its founders, the Sisters of Mercy. Representatives of our founders, the Sisters of Mercy, remain actively involved at Nazareth via their longstanding board membership.
