Debbie Goldsberry devoted the past 11 years rescuing senior dogs, dogs with medical issues and disabilities, dogs that were unwanted and abandoned in our community and beyond.

She rescued over 400 dogs with well over half coming from Lee County DAS!

She found loving homes for these “less adoptable” pets and if not adopted they always had a home at the Sanctuary, a peaceful garden and home where they were loved and cared for.

A volunteer designed this plaque in her memory and had it installed on a bench in one of the play yards that we’ve turned into a “Zen Garden”.

It’s a place where volunteers spend time with the dogs and where potential adopters go to meet dogs. This plaque serves as a focal point for remembrance, reflection, inspiration and maybe even motivation to adopt a Senior pet.

Gilbert, an 11 year old Chihuahua is pictured on Debbie’s bench. He’s a sweet older guy that needs a home 💙.

Today was a truly special day. Londyn went to Lee County Domestic Animal Services to pick up two sweet baby foster kittens, and the staff completely touched our hearts. ✨While she was there, they surprised her by bringing out a beautiful plaque they made in memory of her grandma, Debbie. It is going to be displayed in their dog zen garden, right among the flowers and benches. What a wonderful, lasting way to honor mom’s memory and such a beautiful comfort for our family. 🌸🐾❤️

Unfortunately, the 4th of July fundraiser didn’t do as well as we hoped, so we’ve decided to cancel rhe fundraiser and will be reaching out to everyone who purchased spaces via Facebook Messenger, so we can refund your purchases.

We were going to try to close out the bidding yesterday. We will leave it open through today in order to get things in time for the fourth. Unfortunately if we don’t close the items out we will have to refund money and try the auction again another time!

Good morning! Today is the day!!! Hopefully everyone has seen the items up for grabs and is ready to grab their spots!
Things will be a little different this time around to try to decrease the confusion and decrease the time.
Starting today at 10:00am every 20 minutes there will be a link posted for each individual item. This link will take you to sign up genius. Once there you will do the following….

Click link for item you want to bid on
Place your name beside EACH number you want. They are labeled 1-25. So 1 is for #1 2 is for #2 and so on.
Then it will ask for your name and email.
After that is submitted you will be sent an email confirmation of the number spots and how many you selected. This will happen for each item you bid on.
Then you will need to send PayPal as always for payment.
This is available to everyone so once you have completed the steps that number is no longer available for someone else to pick.
