American Indian Services

American Indian Services Help us provide scholarships to Native Americans in pursuit of higher education. We provide thousands of scholarships annually.

Since 1981, American Indian Services has been providing scholarships and other needed services to Native Americans. AIS makes educational opportunities possible for qualifying Native American students who otherwise could not afford it. Students qualify for participation based on academic merit as well as financial need. The Result: Native American graduates who will lead their tribal communities i

nto a hopeful future. AIS scholarship recipients are receiving education in more than 300 colleges across the United States. Students have the opportunity to select the accredited school which meets their individual needs. Other AIS projects include: student outreach programs, seminars and workshops, leadership training, youth programs, community development, economic development, farming and gardening projects, and other educational programs. Headquartered in Utah, AIS is governed by a volunteer executive board which includes educators, business people, and community leaders from across the country. Additionally, satellite boards have been established in Arizona, Idaho, and Southern Utah. These boards oversee the operation of AIS in their geographical areas, provide community projects and educational seminars, and organize various fundraising events. All money received from donors goes directly to our programs for Native Americans. Administrative costs are minimal and are completely covered by donations from board members.
