5 years ago HB105 Charlee's Law was sent to the Governor for his signature! We are indebted to the amazing efforts that took place to get this passed. Thank you to everyone involved ESPECIALLY sweet Charlee and her parents!

There have been some questions regarding what age an epilepsy patient becomes eligible for vaccination against Covid-19. Some local health departments require the patient to be 18 years or older, where other health departments will vaccinate 16 and older.

The Utah State Health Department has advised us the age depends on which vaccine is being given.
The Pfizer vaccine is recommended for patients 16 and older.
The Moderna vaccine is for those age 18 and older.
Patients with epilepsy will be eligible to schedule appointments beginning March 1.

Every patient is different, and vaccines are not for everyone. There ARE risks involved with any vaccine. Please check with your doctor before receiving any vaccine for any disease.
