Whats happening at Tan Oak Park .. We are offering the use of the park and retreat campground to Non Profits and community members for gatherings, group retreats and workshops. This summer we are hosting events for Heart of the Redwoods Hospice, KPHT a local non profit Radio, a client retreat for a regional AIDS support agency, a Leggett tradition the Fairy Day for local children and families. And TOP FEST 2019 on August 24, our celebration of 30 years as a Non Profit Organization and 20 years operating Tan Oak Park
Families and Friends United By AIDS “FAFUBA” was formed in 1989 by a small group of HIV impacted friends, with the goal of creating a safe welcoming community for education and support for families and friends impacted by HIV.
FAFUBA has been at home in Tan Oak Park providing homes for persons impacted by HIV and other disabling conditions. purchasing and preserving Tan Oak Park, an historical Auto Court with cabins and campground near Leggett as a beautiful setting for sharing, re-energizing and growing.
Our mission is to preserve and share Tan Oak Park forever as a living memorial to celebrate those who are living and those who lived their lives impacted by AIDS.
FAFUBA would like to offer Tan Oak Park, our little piece of paradise, as a resource to the local and nonprofit community.
We invite your organization to consider us for your Group events. Utilizing the private park while you access the cabins and campgrounds for growth, empowerment and healing retreats.
Contact us for a tour of our facilities, using the opportunity to ask questions and make suggestions so we may steward the park’s future as a shared resource for the community.
