Vernon Parish Chamber Orchestra Vernon Parish Chamber Orchestra is a non-profit volunteer organization devoted to furthering music enjoyment, music education and music performance.

VPCO encourages amateur musicians who love performing with others to join the orchestra. If you can provide your own orchestral instrument, devote time to practicing and attending a weekly rehearsal, and are willing to learn, VPCO is for you.

Maybe it’s time to pick up an instrument again? 🎻

A new survey commissioned by London Concertante found that 34% of adults regret giving up music; that’s around 19 million people.

This comes as provisional figures predict that only 4,635 students studied for music A-Level in England in 2026, down 4.9% from 2025 and 51% since 2008.

Samuel Barber’s Adagio for Strings is one of the saddest compositions of the 20th century. This cellist recorded each of 4 parts, and the result is beautiful.
