Hello everyone, My name is Ashley Blanton, and I live in Ada, Oklahoma. My son, Brick, was born with a venous malformation, a congenital vascular condition caused by abnormally formed veins. Although it was present at birth, it was initially misdiagnosed. When Brick was four years old, he fell from his bicycle and injured his face. What seemed like a simple accident quickly became one of the most frightening experiences of our lives. It was during that time that we learned his condition was much more than an ordinary birthmark. Since then, our family has traveled back and forth between Oklahoma and Texas seeking treatment. Brick has undergone numerous surgeries, sclerotherapy procedures, and other medical treatments. Along our journey, ๏ฟผwe came across the story of a brave young girl named Lilly, who is also living with a venous malformation. Her journey has deeply inspired Brick and given our family hope. We are currently hoping to travel to Italy so Brick can receive a surgery that may help improve his condition. We created this page where we can share Brickโ€™s journey, raise awareness about venous malformations, and connect with others facing similar challenges. We invite you to follow along as we share updates about his treatments, surgeries, and daily life. Our hope is that by sharing his story, we can help educate others and bring greater awareness to this rare condition. Thank you for your support, your kindness, and for taking the time to read our story. It truly means the world to our family.
