The Loudoun County Fire and Rescue Fire Marshal’s Office (LCFR-FMO) reminds residents that effective October 1 open burning is permitted for the burning of leaves and trees, brush, yard and garden trimmings generated on-site, except where always prohibited.

If current weather conditions for open burning deem it to be a high-risk activity, additional restrictions may apply. Burning is always prohibited in urban or built-up areas (such as subdivisions) throughout Loudoun County and the Town of Leesburg. Or in the town limits of Lovettsville, Middleburg, Purcellville, and Round Hill.

Huge shoutout to Great Country Farms for hosting us this past Saturday for their First Responder Days! 🚒🚨🚑

We put together an obstacle course for the community, and it’s safe to say we have some strong future first responders in the making! 💪🏼

Thank you to everyone who took the time to stop by, say hi, and take part in the fun. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did!

Days like this are a great reminder of why we do what we do. We’re so grateful to be part of such an amazing community. ❤️

Who’s ready to do it again next year?

Today, we remember September 11, 2001—a day that forever changed our nation. We honor the lives lost, the families forever changed, and the courage shown in the face of unimaginable tragedy.

We remember the 421 first responders who gave their lives that day—including 343 members of the FDNY—and all who ran toward danger when others were running to safety.

We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸

Keep an eye out this weekend! Our partners with Loudoun Career Fire Fighters Association - IAFF Local 3756 will be out collecting donations for Muscular Dystrophy. 💙

Support Loudoun Firefighters as they Fill-the-Boot for Muscular Dystrophy

This upcoming Labor Day weekend, members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System (LC-CFRS) and the Loudoun Career Fire Fighters Association - IAFF Local 3756 will join the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) to collect donations for the 2026 “Fill-the-Boot” campaign.

Firefighters will be collecting donations between Friday, September 4 – Monday, September 7, 2026, to support the MDA’s mission and give the Loudoun community the opportunity to make a difference. The Fill-the-Boot campaign is the result of a partnership between the MDA and the International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF). For over sixty years, the IAFF has pledged to assist the MDA in any way possible until a cure was found to treat this debilitating disease.

All funds raised by Loudoun County firefighters assist local families affected by one of the forty-three neuromuscular diseases. These donations provide families with a network of specialized clinics, financial aid for assistive equipment, support groups, informative publications, and accessible summer camps for kids.

If you miss us or would rather make a secure online donation to our 2026 MDA campaign, visit https://bit.ly/L3756FillTheBoot2026

Captain Wilson built a legacy of service, family, dedication, and commitment to our community — a legacy we are honored to carry forward every day at Station 4. ❤️

Please join us as we remember Captain Dannie Wilson who passed away on Sunday, August 31, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer. Captain Wilson served as the Captain and Station Commander at Fire Station 4 (Round Hill) for many years and proudly served the Combined Fire and Rescue System and Loudoun community for over 25 years.

We honor his service and will never forget his sacrifice and the sacrifice of his family.

Some of the most important people in the fire service don’t arrive with a hose line or a medical bag. Sometimes, they simply arrive with a listening ear, a steady presence, and exactly the right words, or the wisdom to know when no words are needed.

We’re incredibly fortunate to have two volunteer chaplains right here in Round Hill, joining a team of 21 volunteer chaplains serving throughout Loudoun County.

Chaplains provide comfort, support and a steady presence for first responders, their families and members of our community.

And they’re not only there for the hard days. They’re part of the good ones, too — celebrating milestones, sharing in traditions and standing beside us for the moments that bring our fire service family together.

Their service doesn’t stop at the borders of their home station. Together, volunteer chaplains provide 24/7 coverage across the entire county and complete specialized training to support those who need them.

From some of our hardest moments to some of our happiest, we’re grateful they’re there. ❤️

To our Round Hill chaplains and all 21 volunteer chaplains serving Loudoun County — thank you for showing up, sharing in the moments that matter and always taking care of our community and one another.
