LCFR employs over 700 dedicated men and women who provide high-quality emergency response, training, fire investigation, code enforcement, emergency communications, emergency management planning, and other critical services - all funded by your tax dollars NOT donations. Our 600+ proud union members operate out of all 20 fire and rescue stations in the County as well as the Emergency Communication

s center, Fire Marshal’s Office, and the training academy. Of these stations, 17 are staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on a 24/48 schedule with career professionals. The remaining stations are staffed by paid personnel from 0600-1800, 7 days a week, with volunteers providing evening coverage. At night these members are detailed to upstaff other units, fill leave spots, or provide emergency staffing coverage when the volunteers request assistance staffing their units to maintain minimum staffing levels. LCFR also has 1 Deputy Chief, 4 Battalion Chiefs, 2 EMS supervisors, and 1 Safety Officer staffed 24 hours a day dedicated to daily field operations.

UPDATE: Raphael has been located.

UPDATE: RAPHAEL - MISSING AND ENDANGERED

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office continues to search for Raphael, an 81-year-old male from Purcellville.

He was last seen on the 100 block of North 16th Street in Purcellville around 5:00 pm on 09/04/26. He was later captured on video entering the Harris Teeter on Purcellville Gateway Drive at approximately 6:17 pm, and again leaving through the main entrance heading toward Main Street at approximately 6:32 pm.

He is believed to be wearing brown pants, a short sleeve button-up shirt, and a baseball cap.

There continues to be a heavy law enforcement presence in Purcellville around Loudoun Valley High School as the search continues. Residents and businesses in the area are asked to review any surveillance footage from the evening of 09/04/26 until now.

THE VIRGINIA STATE POLICE HAS ISSUED A CRITICALLY MISSING ADULT ALERT ON BEHALF OF THE PURCELLVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT ON 9-5-26 AT 1100 HOURS.

THE PURCELLVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT IS LOOKING FOR RAPHAEL JEFF DADZIE, RACE: BLACK, S*X: MALE, AGE: 80 YEARS OLD, HEIGHT: 5' 8", WEIGHT: 173 lbs., WITH BLACK EYES, AND BALD HEAD.

HE WAS LAST SEEN ON 9-4-26, AT 1630 HOURS ON FOOT IN THE 100 BLOCK OF N 16TH STREET, PURCELLVILLE. HE WAS POSSIBLY WEARING BROWN PANTS, GREENISH BUTTON UP LONG SLEEVE SHIRT, BASEBALL CAP WITH NEW YORK METS LOGO, BLACK SHOES.

THIS DISAPPEARANCE POSES A CREDIBLE THREAT TO THEIR HEALTH AND SAFETY AS DETERMINED BY THE INVESTIGATING AGENCY.

This weekend, starting on Friday and running until Monday, we’re getting out in the community, boots in hand, raising money to help support local families living with muscular dystrophy and related diseases.

Community is built one small moment at a time.

When the engine crew from Fire Station 4 spotted a kid’s lemonade stand on their way back from a call, they didn’t just drive by—they stopped to support a group of young entrepreneurs and share a few smiles.

Moments like this may seem small, but they’re an important part of what community engagement is all about. Building trust doesn’t always happen at a formal event or during a public meeting. Sometimes, it happens at a lemonade stand, on a neighborhood street, or through a simple conversation.

Our members are proud to be part of the communities they serve, and we believe showing up, connecting with our neighbors, and supporting the next generation matters.

A little lemonade, a lot of community spirit.

Today, the members of the Loudoun Career Fire Fighters Association-IAFF Local 3756 pause to remember and honor our brother, Captain Dannie Wilson, who passed away on this day in 2025.

Dannie was more than just your everyday firefighter; he was an example of what every officer should strive to be. He took care of his crew and he made sure they knew every aspect of their job.

Family was important to Dannie, not only in the way he treated his crew, but in the way he loved his family. Tara, Matt, Dannie Jr, and Morgan were his world and it showed every time he would speak about them.

We continue to carry Dannie’s memory with us on every shift. At Fire Station 4 in Round Hill, where Dannie was Captain for many years, the dayroom was dedicated in honor of him and his gear was placed in a handcrafted memorial cabinet, so that part of him always remains in the station.

Please keep Brother Wilson and his family in your thoughts today.

Dannie, you are deeply missed, but you will never be forgotten. Rest easy, brother.

Fire departments throughout the DC Metro area operate through mutual aid, allowing us to respond into neighboring jurisdictions while their departments can respond into Loudoun County when needed.

We regularly conduct multi-unit training with our mutual aid partners to learn from one another, better understand how each department operates, and build the relationships that help ensure seamless operations when we respond to emergencies together.

Today, Prince William Professional Firefighters Evergreen Co 515 came over to conduct a rural water supply drill with Aldie Co 607, Kirkpatrick Farms Co 627, Brambleton Co 609, and South Riding Co 619.

Crews ran several different scenarios, giving companies the opportunity to operate as the supply/dump site and the fill site in a rural water supply environment.

Training together before the emergency happens helps ensure we're ready to work together when it matters most.

UPDATE — Carolyn Taylor

Carolyn is known to nap outdoors, particularly in grassy or wooded areas. Because of this, LCSO is asking residents in and around the area where she was last seen to do two things on their own property only:

1. Walk your backyard, shed, garden, or any brushy or wooded edges of your lot to make sure Carolyn hasn’t stopped to rest there.

2. Review any security or doorbell camera footage from 10:00 am until now for any sign of her.

We are not asking for volunteer searchers at this time. Please do not travel to the area to look for Carolyn. Trained personnel are conducting the search, and additional people in the area can interfere with those efforts. Checking your own property and cameras is the most helpful thing residents can do.

If you find anything, call LCSO at 703-777-1021 immediately.

MISSING AND ENDANGERED: The LCSO is seeking assistance in locating a 81-year-old female.

Carolyn Taylor was last seen on the 18000 block of Foundry Road in Purcellville around 10:40 am (08/23/26). She is believed to be wearing a blue sweatshirt and blue jeans.
