🍂🔥 Fall Wildfire Safety Reminder!

Cooler temperatures, dry conditions, and fallen leaves increase the risk of wildfires across Virginia.

🚒 The Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company reminds everyone to use extra caution with outdoor burning, fire pits, and other potential ignition sources through November 30.

Help keep our rural community safe this fall!

For more information, see the Virginia Department of Forestry’s post below. 👇

Fall brings cooler temperatures and colorful fall foliage, but it also brings an increased risk of wildfires due to dry conditions, low humidity and fallen leaves, which act as a ready fuel source.

Now through Nov. 30, use extra caution with any potential ignition sources, especially outdoor fires. Additional guidance on how you can stay safe this fire season can be found on our website: https://ow.ly/Xxah50ZXZ4w

LUCKETTS VFC RECEIVES UNIT CITATION AWARD!
We are proud to announce that the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company (LVFC) Support Services Unit has been recognized with a Unit Citation Award from Loudoun County Fire and Rescue for its outstanding service during the extended missing-person search conducted August 23–30, 2026.

Over eight days, nine LVFC volunteers provided critical support across five operational periods, including responder rehabilitation, hydration, incident logistics, command-post support, transportation, and resupply.

We Will Never Forget. 🇺🇸

Today, members of the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company were honored to take part in the Loudoun County Fire and Rescue 9/11 Stair Climb at Segra Field.

Our Support Services unit joined our partners from Sterling Volunteer Fire Company and Arcola Volunteer Fire Department to provide hydration and support throughout the event, while two of our Lucketts members also completed the Stair Climb, carrying the names and honoring the memory of firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice on September 11, 2001.

Firefighters, Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, volunteers, and members of our community climbed together today in remembrance of the 343 New York City Fire Department (FDNY) firefighters and all those whose lives were lost on September 11, 2001.

We were proud to support those making the climb, and especially proud of our own members who stepped onto the stairs to honor the fallen.

343. Never Forgotten.

June 10. Station 10. Unit 610.

Today is 6/10, a number that means a little more to us in Lucketts.

For 66 years, volunteers have served this community from Station 10. Today, our operational members continue that tradition by supporting and augmenting the career staff assigned to Engine 610, Tanker 610, Ambulance 610, and cross-staffed Swift Water 610 and Brush 610.

In addition, volunteer members staff REHAB Support 610, Incident Support Unit 610, and EMSUTV 610 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, helping sustain emergency operations across Loudoun County and ensuring our first responders have the resources they need to safely and effectively serve our community.

From our original two-bay firehouse to today’s state-of-the-art station, one thing hasn’t changed: neighbors serving neighbors.

Happy 6/10 from the members of the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company.
