SkillsUSA has selected James to represent the United States in Automobile Technology at the 2026 WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai!

A student at State Technical College of Missouri and graduate of Rolla Technical Institute & Center, James has been a SkillsUSA state champion three times and a national medalist. His passion for fixing cars began when he was a kid taking things apart just to see how they worked. Now, he’s taking that same curiosity to the world stage 🌍✨

WorldSkills USA competitors shined tonight! After a week of testing their technical skills against the best of best, WorldSkills USA took claim to multiple awards and honors.

Wyatt Hansen received the Bronze Medal in Welding, Nathan Bulthuis received the Medallion of Excellence in Automobile Technology, Cale Mouser received the Medallion of Excellence in Heavy Vehicle Technology and Gabe Eady received the Best of Nation in Mechatronics.

We are so proud of each of our competitors as they displayed the finest in technical, personal and workplace skills throughout every aspect of their competition!
