We've spent the past several weeks sharing our vision for something pretty special at Leesburg Executive Airport.

Now we're asking you to help us make it real.

Dream will be the first mural in a planned aviation journey celebrating curiosity, learning, achievement, exploration and the future.

It will celebrate our airport.

It will celebrate Loudoun County.

And most importantly, we hope it will inspire the next generation.

The Leesburg Executive Airport Aviation Mural Project offers several opportunities for local businesses and organizations to become recognized sponsors.

Sponsorships range from $250 to $5,000, with recognition opportunities including the project website, promotional materials, mural recognition plaque and unveiling event depending upon sponsorship level.

Why Put Art at an Airport?

Because public art can turn a place we pass every day into a place we remember.

The Aviation Mural Project will transform hangars at Leesburg Executive Airport into a welcoming community landmark celebrating aviation, Loudoun County and the possibilities ahead.

But there's another reason we love this project.

We want a child to see that mural and think:

“Maybe I could do that someday.”

One of the goals of the project is to inspire young people to explore aviation and STEM careers while strengthening the connection between our airport and the community.

Public art can beautify a building.

Great public art can plant an idea.

It Starts With a Dream

Every pilot was once a child who looked up.

Every engineer once wondered how something worked.

Every big accomplishment started with a moment of curiosity.

That idea is at the heart of “Dream,” the first mural planned for the Leesburg Executive Airport Aviation Mural Project.

A child.
An airplane overhead.
The Loudoun County countryside.

And the possibility of what if?

With community support, this will be the beginning of a series of murals telling the story of aviation from Dream → Learn → Fly → Explore → Future.

Something BIG is coming to Leesburg Executive Airport

Something exciting is about to take flight at the Leesburg Executive Airport!

Friends of Leesburg Public Arts is helping bring a new large-scale aviation mural project to the airport—transforming ordinary hangars into public art that celebrates aviation, our Loudoun County landscape, and the dreams that inspire us to look up.

The first mural is called “Dream.” It will depict a child looking toward an airplane flying over the Loudoun countryside—a simple moment that represents the beginning of every big dream.

And we need our community's help to make it happen.

Businesses, organizations, families, aviation enthusiasts and anyone who believes in the power of public art can be part of bringing this mural to life.

Every contribution matters—from $25 to a major sponsorship.

Help us turn a hangar into something that might inspire a future pilot, engineer, artist or dreamer.
