After a tragic event that took Walter Phelps’ life in the summer of 2010, a foundation in his name was established to raise funds to benefit at-risk youth in our community. The mission of the YMCA is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. COURSE: This unique trail run will start and finish at the Lee County YMCA located at 316

Robert B Lee Drive in Leesburg, GA. Designed specifically for this event, the course offers partial shade and a serene setting. DATE & TIME: Saturday, August 2, 2014 at 8:00 am for the 1 Mile Fun Run; 8:30 am for the 5k Run/Walk; and 9:30 for the Toddler Trot.

1 Mile Fun Run: Overall Male/Female. Top three finishers male and female age groups: under 5, 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, 11-12, 13-14.

5K Run/Walk: Overall Male/Female, Masters Male/Female, and top three Male/Female in age groups: 10 &under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24,25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 & older. REGISTRATION: Pre-Registration Deadline is July 19, 2014.

$15/person; $50 per family pre-registration only; late registration and day of race cost is $20/person; $12 no shirt

How to Register:
1) Completed registration form and check made payable to the Walter Phelps Foundation can be mailed to: The Walter Phelps Foundation, 2009 Covey Road, Albany, GA 31721 (Registration must be postmarked by July 26, 2014.) AWARDS: All pre-registered participants will receive a short sleeve T-shirt. Shirts are available race day as supply lasts. REFRESHMENTS: Provided after the race. SPONSORS: Please consider sponsoring the 2014 Phelps Phun Run. The sooner you sign on, the sooner we will be able to include your business in all promotional materials for the race. It's official...we have sold our property and turned in the keys. We have so many wonderful memories with our customers. God bless you for the amazing years and outpouring of love and encouragement the last few years.
