With summer fast approaching, I wanted to get some updates out and try to figure out a meeting with parents and scouts to look ahead for the rest of the summer and early fall.

May 18th @ 3 pm : Pack 3729 Crossover at the Winona Lake Limitless Park's Fire Ring. Please arrive prior to 3 pm, preferably in Class A (have a T shirt on under it so you can remove after).

May 22nd: 1 of 2 things may happen. Garrett S is coordinating with AWL to work on his eagle project, and this is a possible evening. If that doesn't work, then I would like to have a parent/scout meeting at the Lions Club at 7 pm.

May 27th: Leesburg Memorial Day Parade. Arrive no later than 1015 downtown at the flashing light. The town loves having us there each year to raise the flag and help lead things. I am working with the Pack for attendance on their side as well. I hope we can have a great turnout for this!

We will need to meet sometime in June to wrap up the Personal Fitness Merit Badge. I hope everyone has been working on it and has their research done so we can review.

With a lack of leaders available for long term camping, I would strongly encourage the scouts to sign up for 1 or more Merit Badge days up at CCLT. I will update this post once I have a link.

Reminder that the troop will be involved in the flag raising ceremony and then march in the Leesburg Memorial Day parade May 29th. Class A shirts are preferred (and required if you help in the raising of the flag or holding the flag in the procession). Class B or regular clothes will be at the back of the group. Meet by 1000 am (no later than 1015 am) downtown in Leesburg at flashing light to go over raising of the flag and procession protocol. Procession goes to cemetery. If you can stay to pay respect for the ceremony after the parade that would be great. Temperatures around 70 with low humidity. Nicer shorts are fine, but no sports shorts or anything like that. No bikes. Let us know if you can make it!!!
