LFC’s Mission
To offer a safe and nurturing environment to at-risk children in need of emergency removal, respite care, or mentoring.
Loudoun Families for Children (LFC) is a volunteer, non-profit organization that was established in 1994 to provide local, temporary homes to children in need.
LFC provides care and support to children affected by family issues; such as, investigation of abuse or neglect, parental substance abuse, parental mental health issues, or homelessness.
All referral to the program must be made through a licensed social worker, counselor, or other professional. Each referral is evaluated to ensure that the LFC program is appropriate for the child and to determine the most compatible LFC home or mentor.
