Exciting new “expanded outdoor dining program” starting this weekend. Great new way to bring people downtown to support the local restaurants and shops. Sending a BIG thank you to the Town of Leesburg, Virginia for all their hard work on putting this together!
Beginning on July 31, the Town of Leesburg will close South King Street, from Market to Loudoun streets, on Friday and Saturday evenings through October 24, 2020, weather permitting.
The purpose of the street closure is to allow downtown restaurants to create temporary expanded outdoor dining areas. Participating restaurants this first weekend include Black Hoof Brewing Company, Delirium Café, Echelon Wine Bar, King Street Oyster Bar, Leesburg Gourmet, and The Wine Kitchen.
Outdoor dining hours will be from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., but the street will be closed beginning at 3:30 p.m.
Customers will not be allowed to congregate in the street and must maintain proper social distancing at all times.
There will be no live performances or other outdoor entertainment, however, customers are encouraged to visit downtown shops while waiting to dine.
