Camp Horizon Christian Summer Camp & Retreat Facility We can sleep over 200 people in twelve cabins, eight lodge rooms, and nine dormitory rooms.

Camp Horizon is situated on about 100 acres with a half-mile shoreline on Lake Harris in Leesburg, Florida (Lake County). We have a chapel, gymnasium, craft room, swimming pool, and dining hall. Our sports field can be configured for backstop sports (baseball, softball, kickball), two youth soccer fields, or three youth flag-football fields. We also have an archery and rifle range. On Lake Harris we have a ski/fish dock and a split level boat dock with observation deck. We offer water-skiing, fishing, swimming, sailing, and canoeing on the lake. Camp Horizon has been around for over thirty five years. We have hosted summer camps in Leesburg, Florida since 1976.

Halfway through training week! Our staff are enjoying a 90s summer. They are busy learning how to clearly present the Gospel, camp policies and procedures, and even how to write a letter! 🤣 We are also making time to play some 90s evening activities. The big relay featured a round of Skip-it (yes, it hurts as much as you remember). What was your favorite part of camp in the 90s?

Week One done! Christian Intensive Training (CIT) was a success. We spent time in Ephesians, building picnic tables, and painting canoes. We finished it up with the Camp Horizon version of nailed it! See everyone next year!

We had a great time this week studying in Ephesians and working alongside one another.
