Camp Horizon

Christian Summer Camp & Retreat Facility We can sleep over 200 people in twelve cabins, eight lodge rooms, and nine dormitory rooms.

Camp Horizon is situated on about 100 acres with a half-mile shoreline on Lake Harris in Leesburg, Florida (Lake County). We have a chapel, gymnasium, craft room, swimming pool, and dining hall. Our sports field can be configured for backstop sports (baseball, softball, kickball), two youth soccer fields, or three youth flag-football fields. We also have an archery and rifle range. On Lake Harris

we have a ski/fish dock and a split level boat dock with observation deck. We offer water-skiing, fishing, swimming, sailing, and canoeing on the lake. Camp Horizon has been around for over thirty five years. We have hosted summer camps in Leesburg, Florida since 1976.

Thank you all who came out and helped last weekend for the workday. There is another workday next Saturday to get camp ready. We would love to have you come out and help us get ready for summer on May 30th. Please let camp know so we can plan for lunch.

All of our camps are on a waitlist for girls! We would love to be able to open more spots but we are in need of adult (18+) female counselors, especially for varsity week (July 19-25). Help by: coming to serve with us a week, pray that the Lord may raise up adult women to counsel, and tell your friends/family about the need.

Last year’s work day was so successful we are doing it again! We need help May 16th getting the last of the lodge rooms ready for Spanish family camp and need to get some new mattress covers on some beds in the cabins. May 30th will be more clean up in preparation for the summer. Please consider coming out one of the weekends. Let camp know you are coming so that we can plan for lunch!
