The Early Learning Coalition of Lake County, funded in part by Florida's Office of Early Learning, has oversight over all state supported school readiness programs in Lake County including the Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten (VPK) program. Administration of the programs covers funding, monitoring, contract management and service provisioning. The objectives of early learning programs are to serve as pr

eventative measures for children at risk of future school failure and to enhance children's chances of academic success as they enter and progress through school. The programs are intended to be developmentally appropriate and research based; to enhance educational readiness of children, to support family education and to provide a resource and referral network that assists parents in making an informed choice of child care providers.

From sweet VPK days at Kiddie Castle to walking the stage as a Tavares High School graduate — what an incredible journey it has been! 💙

Jaron has always followed her passions, from raising rabbits in FFA during elementary school to dedicating 3 years to the high school band percussion section 🥁. Along the way, she made memories that will last a lifetime.

When she’s not making music, Jaron enjoys spending time with horses and relaxing at the lake — her happy places 🐎🌊.

Next up, Jaron plans to attend Lake Tech to pursue a career in law enforcement, with the goal of becoming a K9 officer 🐕‍🦺 — and we couldn’t be more proud of her ambition and determination!

Today, our team at the Early Learning Coalition of Lake County proudly recognizes Pinwheels for Prevention—a symbol of the happy, healthy childhood every child deserves. Our pinwheel garden stands as a reminder that strong families, supportive communities, and early learning opportunities all play a vital role in protecting our children.
