We love our fabulous volunteer, Carmen!
Born in Mexico City, Carmen’s lifelong commitment to service was forged during three decades in southern Africa. While living in Zimbabwe, Malawi, and Tanzania, she dedicated herself to teaching children with disabilities, discovering a profound sense of fulfillment in grassroots volunteerism. Drawn to its mission of providing free healthcare to individuals who would otherwise have limited or no access, she joined the Loudoun Free Clinic as a medical interpreter when she moved to the United States in 2014.
Carmen has contributed over 1,000 hours of service to the clinic. She approaches her work with care, warmth, and dedication. She has learned patience, perseverance, and the importance of kindness. Her years of service continue to make a meaningful difference to the lives of vulnerable patients and their families. https://loudounfreeclinic.org/
