Lucketts Community Food Pantry Impact Update ❤️

Shout-out to our Saturday morning crew! On a cold and rainy holiday weekend morning, these dedicated volunteers showed up to demonstrate what caring for your neighbor looks like. Thank you - Chad and Laura Genevieve, Chris Fowler, Janett Fowler, Emilia and Brad, Vivian and SJ, Janet Lyman and Barbara Roques! You guys are simply awesome.

Today, 43 local families representing 220 Lucketts residents received approximately 1,390 pounds of groceries and household essentials through the Lucketts Community Food Pantry—about 30 pounds per household.

Today’s distribution included apples, bananas, zuchinni, potatos, onions, eggs, milk, meat, fresh bread, pantry staples, and household essentials to help local families stretch their budgets and keep food on the table.

Thank you to the volunteers, donors, and community partners who help make this work possible. Neighbor helping neighbor is alive and well in Lucketts.

Lucketts Community Food Pantry Impact Update ❤️

Today, 42 local families representing 215 Lucketts residents received approximately 1,596 pounds of groceries and household essentials through the Lucketts Community Food Pantry—about 38 pounds per household.

Today’s distribution included fresh produce, eggs, milk, meat, fresh bread, pantry staples, and household essentials to help local families stretch their budgets and keep food on the table.

Thank you to the volunteers, donors, and community partners who help make this work possible. Neighbor helping neighbor is alive and well in Lucketts.

We had a great morning preparing to feed 42 Lucketts families tomorrow morning! We have the best volunteers and the best partners ❤️

Spring is here and so is the gorgeous organic produce that our wonderful partner Cowbell Kitchen and Love, KK Foundation provides! Thank you Christ Church Lucketts for providing our fruit twice a month, Karen Winston Falk and Conrad Falk for the toilet paper, Lucketts Ruritan Club for your ongoing support, and Loudoun Hunger Relief for all of the dry goods and meat that we couldn’t do without!

A huge thanks to the behind-the-scenes crew an the pinch hitters that make this operation run so smoothly - Christ Church Lucketts (Janet Lyman, Paul Muensch, Bob and Pat Frick, Lisa Treichel); Ryan Michael and Jason Larson, Ashley Taylor and the whole Thursday night crew, Susie Eigmey!

And a special thanks to Logan Kaschak and family (Laura Genevieve and Chad) for volunteering to mulch our plants and keep our food pantry home looking beautiful for the community!

With school out for an entire week, we are thinking of our neighbors experiencing food insecurity with love. Loudounfeeds.org is a great resource to find local food banks and organizations to help fill in the gap the School Nutrition Services is not able to in Lucketts when school is closed.

The Little Free Food Pantry at Faith Chapel is stocked up and ready for giving! Please help yourself if you are experiencing food insecurity. Please excuse the snow - the parking lot has been plowed but the walkway won’t be shoveled until tomorrow morning.

Now THIS is the most beautiful turkey we have EVER seen! It represents the generosity of our amazing community, and the spirit of caring about our neighbors. We feel so lucky to be a part of this amazing Lucketts Community!
