Our club celebrated our 69th Charter Anniversary this month. During a snow storm, we ate yummy food at Jasmine. With Key Clubs and other K-Family members, we celebrated and served our LOCO in multiple ways. We had 3 members attend the Midyear Capital District Conference. For Read Across America Week, we donated Scholastic books to 400 Head Start and STEP students and their teachers. We decorated bookmarks with literacy ideas with support from Broad Run, Heritage, Rock Ridge, and Tusky Key Clubs.
We added gently used books to some of the 70+ little libraries in LOCO (Stork Project). We saw Key Clubs show their thanks for teachers, friends, janitors, and others in their high schools. They also sent birthday or lift your spirit cards to ill kids at Loudoun INOVA Hospital or kids at risk.
Riverside H.S. helped us sell refreshments to visitors and vendors to fundraise at the Spring Bling Craft Show. Riverside, Park View and Tusky Key Clubs prepared almost 300 treat bags for a Loudoun Hunger Relief service project we sponsored.
At the Key Club Capital District Conference, Stone Bridge won the 2025-2026 Best Key Club award! They were chosen out of 250 clubs. Independence, Riverside, Tuscarora, and Stone Bridge members also received recognition for some outstanding members. Two students also received scholarships from the Capital District Foundation.
Congrats to Heritage HS for reactivating your club! This was there first year since COVID-19. We support over 1,200 Key Club students in LCPS. That was a fantastic way to end the month. It felt great to be Kiwanians.

After 3 members attended the Midyear Conference in Cambridge during the weekend, the club celebrated the Charter Anniversary month. Our club founded in 1957, and it continues to provide service in multiple ways 69 years later. Alongside sponsoring the annual Halloween Parade in Leesburg, we support over 1,200 Key Club students, provide books for Head Start, STEP, and local children during Read Across America Week, National Night Out, little libraries, and other occasions, and volunteer at Mobile Hope, Women Giving Back, Fueled, and LOCO nonprofits.
A mix of club, K-family members, and friends of the club gathered for a yummy dinner and non-stop conversation at Jasmine. Thank you to all who attended.

With colorful bookmarks adorning the Scholastic books, Key Clubs and our Kiwanis Club prepped Everyone Eats for 300 Head Start students and Pete the Cat and the Cool Caterpillar to 100 STEP students for Read Across America Week. Adding books to home libraries helps young kids learn more successful reading strategies and improves social interactions in the community. Thank you to Head Start and STEP for allowing us to partner with you.
