Roby Little made our community happier and healthier through all of her work with Lee's Summit CARES. Her work and legacy will always be a part of Lee’s Summit.

Roby Little helped build Lee's Summit CARES from a $6,000 program into a cornerstone of community health and character education. She passed away June 4, leaving behind a legacy that reaches into schools, businesses and city policy throughout Lee's Summit.

Congratulations to Tylisha Hemeyer, ICU nurse and our most recent DAISY Award recipient! Patients and families who nominated Tylisha shared how her patience, kindness and steady support helped them feel informed and comforted during their time in the hospital.

One nomination shared: “She is incredibly skilled at what she does…explaining medical terms in a way that is easy to understand. She turned what was a terrifying experience for me into a calming and healing environment.”

Tylisha’s recognition is a meaningful reminder of the heart our ICU colleagues bring to patient care every day. Please join us in congratulating Tylisha on this well-deserved honor.

ReDiscover is grateful to the Greater Lee's Summit Healthcare Foundation for supporting ReDiscover’s Health Care Home and helping us expand our Health & Wellness Program to create more inclusive opportunities for the individuals we serve.

Thanks to their generous funding, we’ve been able to add adaptive equipment so individuals with physical limitations can fully participate in yoga and fitness activities — ensuring everyone has the opportunity to move, participate, and work toward their wellness goals.
Their support has also helped us upgrade and expand fitness equipment, enhance our client kitchen space, and continue to grow our garden group program. We’re excited to keep building a healthier, more inclusive community together!

🎉 Another GLSHF success story! 🎉 Lee’s Summit native Adam Howe is a product of Pleasant Lea elementary & middle schools and a 2015 LSHS graduate! 🐯 He’s now a dentist in the KC area and is a past recipient of our healthcare foundation scholarship!
