We strive to offer a variety of service projects so that all members have a chance to participate. In September we have the Heart of the Summit 5K/10K/1 Mile Walk/Run - which honors first responders. In June we have our annual Golf Tournament and in February our club celebrates the year with Feed Lee's Summit, in collaboration with other Lee's Summit chapter. The Chicago attorney formed one of the world’s first service organizations, the Rotary Club of Chicago, on 23 February 1905 as a place where professionals with diverse backgrounds could exchange ideas and form meaningful, lifelong friendships. Rotary’s name came from the group’s early practice of rotating meetings among the offices of each member.

Maxwell was honored Thursday at the Rotary Club of Lee’s Summit's weekly meeting at Unity Village.

We are less than one week away from the first Lee's Summit Unlocked experience!

This limited-capacity, 21+ downtown experience includes craft spirits, hidden history, elevated bites and sips, neon artistry, a speakeasy cocktail, and a collaborative puzzle experience with special perks.

🤝Rotary at its very best.

The Rotary Club of Lee's Summit had the privilege of welcoming Rotarians from Argentina to our weekly meeting, and by the time lunch was over, one thing was crystal clear:

No matter where you call home, Rotary speaks the same language—service, friendship, and community.

We enjoyed hearing about their clubs, sharing stories about ours, and exchanging club banners as a symbol of the connections being built across thousands of miles. In a single meeting, four club banners changed hands and countless new friendships were formed.

Of course, our guests also made sure to teach us an important lesson...

As our region prepares to welcome the world during the FIFA World Cup, moments like these remind us that the greatest part of international events isn't just the competition—it's the people, cultures, and relationships that bring us together.

Thank you to our Argentinian friends for spending part of your journey with us. We loved learning about your clubs, your communities, and your passion for Rotary.

⚽🇦🇷 What an incredible start to the FIFA World Cup festivities!

Last night, the Rotary Club of Lee's Summit had the honor of welcoming our friends from Argentina in a roof top celebration, and what a memorable celebration it was.

As we prepare for the excitement the World Cup will bring to our region, we're reminded that the game is about so much more than soccer. It's about connection, understanding, and building relationships that span continents.

A heartfelt welcome to our Argentinian guests, and thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a special experience. We can't wait to continue celebrating together in the months ahead!
