Wake the World KC A group of generous boat owners providing a day filled with fun, sun and water sports for Kansas City kids from the Boys & Girls Clubs.

Wake the World KC is a non-profit organization that strives to provide fun lake experiences for children in the KC area. We hold our annual events at Smithville lake. We're happy to be supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Kansas City with this event since 2013. Our inaugural event was held in 2011 at Smithville Lake and benefited the children of Gillis Children’s Home in cooperation with Cornerstones of Care. We hope that you'll share our page and help support our organization.

Yesterday we hosted our 12th Wake the World KC event since 2011 at Smithville Lake and our hearts are so full. The day was filled with sunshine ☀️, smiles 😁 and sharing watersports 🚤🌊🏄 with the youth of . We couldn’t make the event happen without the generosity of local owners and community sponsors. A huge thank you to each and every one of you for making this possible! Already looking forward to next year!
