Next week is our annual Farm to Fable Gala and we want to extend our gratitude to our Presenting Sponsors, Preferred Pediatrics and Horn Law Firm. We are less than two weeks away from our annual Farm to Fable Gala at Lone Summit Ranch. This year we are excited to welcome Lee's Summit local and KMBC anchor, Eric Graves as our emcee for the evening.

Yesterday, our friends from NorthPoint Foundation came to lead a DIY soap making activity. We love that when their team shows up. they jump right in and engage with the teens making them feel seen and loved.
Thank you NorthPoint for not just being a body in the room, but being a that friendly face that is all in.

Our volunteer tutors are amazing. While our staff has many skills, helping teens with their math is not one of them. Success looks different for everyone, and we are here to celebrate the wins of every size with them.

On Monday, teens worked with Jaime from Madebyinjoy to create a mini abstract painting, adding words of intention on the canvas. Following the activity the teens had a meaningful conversation about why they chose the words they chose.

On Wednesday we went over to see our friend, Sadie, at Hope House for a workshop called "In Their Shoes." We broke into groups and each group was given a scenario of a teenager walking through a domestic violence situation and they need to make choices on what they think they would do "in their shoes." After the breakout, we gathered together again to debrief the conversations that were had. Talking about situations like this helps us prepare for what steps would be the most effective, because in the moment, you it is hard to know if you haven't put yourself "In Their Shoes" before.
