Congratulations to Alexander Williamson, the very first recipient of The Kay Chasteen Educator’s Scholarship presented through the Leeds Education Foundation.

Created in honor of Kay Chasteen’s loving legacy, this scholarship was established to recognize and encourage future educators from Leeds High School as they pursue careers in education.

Kay’s impact on the Leeds community continues to be felt through the countless lives she touched with her kindness, encouragement, and dedication to others. Her legacy is one of compassion, service, and a genuine love for people and education.

We are incredibly honored to launch this scholarship in its inaugural year and look forward to continuing it each year in celebration of the lasting difference Kay made in our community.
