● The Village of Catskill, Town of Catskill, and Greene County Legislators District 1 Catskill
are proud to sponsor our
Catskill Hometown Heroes Veterans Banner Program with the
American Legion Honeyford Memorial Post 110. This program is a living tribute to the
service men and women from Catskill who served our Country.
● Each individual banner will be unique and honor a specific Catskill former or present
member of the Armed Forces and will include their name, their picture, branch of service
and any military conflict in which they served.
● The banners will be 30 x 60 inches and be in full color displayed in the Village of Catskill
and the hamlets of the Town of Catskill along main thoroughfares.
● The deadline to mail in the application, payment, and picture is February 1, 2023. Please write your name, address, and phone number on the back of your picture. Your
picture will be returned to you when the order is filled.
● The banner will be on display from Armed Forces Day (May) through Veterans Day
(November).
● The price of the banner will be $195. Visual inspection will be performed yearly to
determine if replacement is necessary. Sponsor is responsible for replacement.
● Qualifications needed for the application of the banner:
○ Proof of service in the United States Armed Forces
○ The honoree should be a long-standing member of the community, or a resident
at the time of service.
○ Picture should be at least 3x5 or larger in size.
● The application must be approved by the Catskill Hometown Heroes Veterans Banner
Committee of American Legion Post 110. If needed, the committee will prioritize
honorees by wars fought from past to present.
● Checks should be payable to Gettysburg Flag Works and return the payment of $195,
the attached application, and a picture you would like to use should be mailed to
Honeyford Memorial American Legion Post 110, PO Box 279, Leeds, NY 12451.
