The World Cup is right around the corner and Berkshire County is lucky to be hosting an event to celebrate the beautiful game!

From 2pm on at The Common in Pittsfield there will be events and soccer for all!

On Monday June 1 , the WSG baseball majors black team took a day off from practicing on the diamond to be educated on the history of baseball in Berkshire county at the baseball in the Berkshire’s museum in the Lee prime outlets .

Larry Moore, the Director of Baseball in the Berkshires Museum, educated the WSG majors Black team on a private tour of the museum which covered the rich history of baseball in Berkshire County . The hour long tour took our players back to the origins in 1791 all the way thru today’s updates of Jayder raifstanger’s , a Berkshire county baseball standout , successes at St. John's University .

The tour concluded with a hands on demo of some baseball equipment and uniforms then ended with the evolution of baseball bats through out the years .

The WSG players and coaches are so very thankful to Mr.Moore and his amazing team of volunteers for their dedication to the preservation of Berkshire county baseball . We encourage all to visit this great historical resource in our backyard at the Lee prime outlets.
